Lately Casio introduced its G line with the EX-G1. It is a compact digital camera that comes with a 12.1 megapixel and 2.3 inch CCD sensor. It is also equipped with a 3x optical zoom lens that is able to cover 38 to 114mm of focal range.
The camera has internal memory that packs 35.7 megabytes. Moreover, the device can use micro SD/SDHC memory media. It has a built-in Casio’s anti shake feature with the help of which the camera is able to produce sharper images. One can also observe the technology that is able to detect faces when making shots, the camera also has landscape and make-up settings. There is a button transition due to which one can capture a movie. The G1 comes with a printed Quick Start guide, USB as well as A/V cables, a charger and battery, CD-ROM software, two optional integrated protectors that help identify impact damage of the side camera.
This camera is also known not only for what it is able to do, but also for the conditions under which it is able to perform. It is considered to be a dustproof, waterproof, shock resistant as well as freezproof camera.
The device is equipped with a 2.5 inch LCD monitor that contains of 230,400 dots. It is not so quick when powering up, it needs about 2.25 seconds to display an AF icon onscreen.
You can take the camera everywhere you want. It is trim and slim, well built and it is easy to operate with its auto shooting modes. The device offers excellent performance of autofocus and shutter. But still lens has its own faults but it is not a bad performer.
As for ISO noise sensitivity, it offers average quality. It lacks true stabilization that is considered to be a disadvantage.
The G1 produces good images in case you are able to hold the ISO sensitivity below 400 and you do not need to get huge prints. But despite several faults, it is not a bad camera.
