Canon_PowerShot The new Canon Powershot cameras are fast becoming the norm for everyday photo taking people. These handy little cameras used to be pricey to buy and didn’t really have all that much resolution when it came to taking pictures. However, that has changed these days. The newer cameras that Canon is producing seem to be a mixture of quality for price. You may not win any awards for your photos but you can clearly see the technology is getting smaller and the quality of the pictures is getting higher.

Digital cameras are becoming more common for everyday use and these new Powershot cameras are becoming the high end of the selections. After introducing a nine megapixel camera in 2007, these newer Canon cameras are boasting a ten megapixel chip set that is the same size as the older nine megapixel chips. This helps keep the size of the camera down and enables better picture quality. To top this off, they have added a 10X zoom function to this camera which makes it one that you will love using.

Unlike earlier versions of these cameras, Canon has given up the DIGIC processor with the new and improved DIGIC 4 processor. This change over should help with image, noise, auto focus, and the autofocus feature, enabling you to take shots that you never even thought of taking before. With these kinds of leaps in technology coming so fast, most people just can’t wait to see what the future of digital cameras will be. By taking a look at this Powershot, you should get a pretty good idea of what will be coming just around the corner.

With the added 128mb SD card that is available with the camera, you can take roughly 30 high end pics. But if you are looking at taking more pictures than that, you will be happy to know this camera can take all the newer SD cards including the new high end SDHC cards. This will make quite a lot of people happy especially when they discover that the camera itself sells for $250 or less since September 2009.
