Are you chomping at the bit and hoping that Santa is going to bring you a nice, new iPad and put it under your Christmas tree on Dec. 25? If so, you might want to reconsider and let Santa know to not worry about it too much or you could end up very frustrated.
Rumors say the Apple iPad2 is coming out in 100 days, but some sources say that Apple has lost its grip on any future plans and that the iPad2 may not come out until the end of February.
The first batch of the new iPad2 is expected to total between 400,000 and 600,000 devices. So, what makes it desirable for Apple fans?
First, it is expected to have more RAM and a faster processor. Plus, it is supposed to have a front-facing camera, which makes it FaceTime ready. A few people have speculated that the iPad2 may be developing a retina display, or perhaps an OLED display, but no one is certain of the latter. It has been reported that a company was chosen to make backlights though for a LCD display screen for the iPad2.
