With all the Hype and News surrounding the iPad, have you stopped and asked yourself if it’s even wise to get an iPad now ? The truth of the matter is that the iPad is still way to new and if you aren’t in a hurry, it may be a good idea to hold on for a bit longer.
One reason to wait couple more months is the price. Like any other gadget the iPad is overpriced and we will see a huge drop in price by the end of 2010 (unless it becomes the top selling gadget for the Holidays) Any gadget that initially is released, due to the hype, its almost always overpriced and it takes the developers few months to come to realization and start lowering the prices to drive more sales.
Another reason will be due to the low app availability because in my opinion the iPad is still in its development stage and needs to attract more developers and other big names will need to jump in. While thousands of apps will be compatible for the iPad that are currently available for the iPhone, the quality won’t be the same since the resolution and size of the iPhone and iPad vary.
The market is just starting to evolve for tablets, and there are numerous new developers developing even better tablets that have better and more option than the iPad. For instance the Adam, made by Notion Ink is a great tablet that some say will crush the Apple iPad. Bottom line, within few months the price war will start between makers and the only one who will profit from the price war will be the consumer.
Unless you really need a tablet, wait few more months instead of jumping and pre-ordering right at this moment.

I know a lot of people are suggesting that people wait a few months for Apple to work out the kinks in the iPad but I argue that there probably won’t be many if any major kinks because they have pretty much figured out most of this production with the iPhone. This is simply a bigger format of the same thing. I’ve pre-ordered a WiFi to give away on Baduku and also a 3G for myself. In my opinion, this is the first major step towards a feasible tablet and as a long time tablet and Apple consumer, I have to support this because my purchase helps to drive the momentum of the tablet genre. So many times have things come out without the support needed to make them viable and unfortunately they were lost forever. h r you
It’s all about how it looks and feels, if it is comfortable to the non-geek, if it is more convenient than, say, a pile of books, a computer, an AV system. When people are busy and stressed, and everyone seems to be stressed these days, they want things to be easy. Apple makes things that are easy and natural to use. It will not be that long before the iPad is nearly ubiquitous, not just used for reading or watching videos on airplanes, but around conference tables, in the hands of real-estate agents and other sales people, in your physician’s hand when he or she comes into your examining room, and the “and so ons” will be infinite.
I’ll wait for the better Android. Thank You.
