iPad 2 Users Reporting Defects

It has only been a few days since the new iPad2 came out in the U.S., and even though most users are extremely satisfied with their new gadgets, it appears that there are already some people complaining and there are reports of defects coming in.

A few customers are saying that there is yellow spotting showing up on the screen, which is a similar issue that occurred when the iPhone 4 came out.  That time the problem was solved pretty quickly and was found to be due to the bonding agent not being all the way properly dried and sealed because Apple rushed to get the product released. After the bonding agent dried and was sealed to the screen the spotting problem resolved itself and customers were happy again. It is thought it may be the same issue with the iPad 2 and if so, it should also resolve itself.

A more serious issue being seen is color bleeding along the outer edge of the LCD screen, which is causing light spots to appear on the edges of the screen. No one knows, as there isn’t a way yet to know if the problem will get worse and end up taking up the whole screen.

There has been no remarks made about the complaints by Apple so far, but they will allow any unhappy users to return their iPad2′s and get a refund or an exchange within two weeks of purchase.
